Are You Still Working On Your Summer Wardrobe?

Were you so busy with end-of-the-school-year activities that you haven't been able to shop for your summer wardrobe? Do you already know what you want to buy? If so, you're all set to head to your favorite clothing stores, aren't you?

On the other hand, maybe you are still looking for ideas that will make your wardrobe unique. If that's the case, from thinking of what this summer will bring to shopping for your favorite brand, here are some ideas that might help you.

Your Summer Plans - Will this be a stay-at-home summer? If so, are there things like special Fourth of July picnics or weddings you will be attending? Maybe you'll be helping at vacation Bible school or volunteering at your local library. Consider all of the things you'll be doing, and plan your wardrobe accordingly.

Instead of a staycation, you might be going on a family vacation during the summer months. If that's the case, will you be headed to a beach where your main items of clothing will be swimsuits and shorts? Or, will you be going somewhere that will also require dressier outfits? Or it might be that, even if you go somewhere super casual, you'll still want to go out to dinner and shopping.

Your Summer Shopping - After assessing this summer's activities, you'll have a better idea of what to shop for. For example, if you are staying home, you might still want a swimsuit. If so, consider a tankini with boy shorts and a sporty tank top. If you want a special dress for something like a wedding or for a baby's baptism, consider buying a unique pleated dress with a banded waist. Depending on your selection of jewelry, that dress can take you to any event.

Think of buying other unique outfits. For example, a denim jumpsuit with a wide collar would be one good choice to make you stand out in a crowd. A handkerchief-type sundress is another example of an outfit that could go from super casual to casual-dressy. Think of also buying different tops that will give things like capris a customized look.

For instance, wearing a white silk tunic with black capris will give them a dressy look. Wearing those same black capris with a denim button-down shirt will give the capris a very casual look. If you wear the black capris with a white tank top and then wear the same denim shirt unbuttoned and you add fancy jewelry, all of a sudden you have a casual-dressy look.
